Seaview International Holiday Park, Cornwall: REVIEW

Seaview International are both a campsite and caravan park combined, meaning that families can take their own tents or tourers along to pitch up - or they can rent Seaview International's own caravans or lodges.

The free facilities on site include: an outdoor heated swimming pool with baby & toddler area, tennis courts, badmington, volley ball and a childrens play area.

Seaview International are currently the ONLY campsite in Cornwall to have won the coveted AA Campsite Of The Year award 4 times!

Myself, Jon & Tyne were lucky enough to be given the chance to spend the night in a luxury caravan - now I personally haven't stayed in a caravan since I was around 11 years old and my parents owned one - so I was amazed to see how far caravans have come since then!

Our childhood caravan was very sweet but it was far from comfortable or stylish, the "beds" were simply the living room sofas and the kitchen table converted! And the cooking and kitchen facilities were almost non existent.

THIS caravan was a world away from that! When I stepped inside the décor blew me away!
It really didn't feel as though I was standing inside a caravan, it felt as though I was standing in a trendy flat or boutique style hotel room - everything was very modern, clean and trendy!

The kitchen area was again very stylish and clean, and so well equipped! They had thought of everything - there were pyrex jugs and dishes in the cupboards, every kind of ladle you could imagine, a garlic crusher, a bottle opener, a brand new bottle of fairy liquid, kitchen roll, clean tea towels, a new dish cloth - literally everything you could ever need had been provided! VERY impressive!

There was also a dining table and chairs, and the living room had a modern flat screen TV with built in DVD player and a gorgeous remote control fireplace!

The bedrooms consisted of a smaller twin room (which we didn't need to use), and a larger double bedroom with lots of storage space, plenty of electric points and a dressing table - I was initially worried about there being space for the travel cot but it fitted at the bottom of the bed perfectly.

There was an ensuite toilet in the main bedroom, and a separate bathroom with shower - again everything was very stylish and clean.

Outside was quite a large raised wooden deck area with a patio table and chairs, the view from here was breathtaking - you could see clean across the sea! Just beautiful.

Unfortunately, due to bank holiday weekend traffic, we arrived much later than anticipated and rather frazzled from the long journey with a 5 month old baby - we followed our sat nav but took a wrong turn somewhere which led us through some VERY hairy roads and up some rather frightening hill tops!
So the by the time we arrived it was getting dark, my nerves were shot and Tyne was extremely agitated!!!!

So unfortunately we just had to quickly check in, and get to the caravan to try and get Tyne fed and settled. After a couple of hours he did luckily settle, and we decided to go out for a drive to nearby Truro for some fresh air.

By the time we returned it was gone 10 pm, so we watched a bit of TV and went to bed.

We had a very comfortable nights sleep in the caravan, and a lovely relaxing breakfast on the caravan deck taking in the view the next morning - we had a look around the campsite and though we would have liked to use the pool, the weather wasn't quite right for it so we had to give it a miss.

The campsite was lovely and clean, with enough to keep children aged 4 - 11 busy in my opinion!

Obviously a baby Tyne's age is very difficult to entertain, but perhaps a small indoor soft play area may be a welcome addition in the future for slightly younger children - particularly for during any bad weather!

All in all, the Seaview International camp site is a beautiful destination - the view cannot be equalled, there is plenty provided if you're looking for an outdoorsy trip, and if you choose to hire the caravans the décor and cleanliness are perfect.

I would recommend the Seaview International and we have already decided to book a night there next year to stargaze as the view of the night sky there is really something else!

We really enjoyed getting to explore Cornwall too, it really is a beautiful part of the country and well worth a visit!
